Well back from the airport now so it really is happening. Hope you all have a great experience. I'm so happy that Alison is under the care of Brenda (Callum is used to these trips) and I am also impressed that there is one venture leader to every four ventures. That may help me sleep better tonight ha

Sinead, Amy & Shannon Glad to hear you arrived safe and sound. Did you have a jalfrezi or a korma yet? Sinead....remember just a spoonful of sugar helps the "mozzi pills" go down, the mozzi pills go down, the mozzi pills go do.......wn!

Hope you are all coping well and I thought you might like these quotes to keep you amused and thinking!!!
1. Leadership should be born out of the understanding of the needs of those who would be affected by it.
2. Leadership is practiced not so much in words as in attitude and in actions.
3. Leadership is based on inspiration, not domination; on cooperation, not intimidation.
4. I start with the premise that the function of leadership is to produce more leaders, not more followers
5. The leadership instinct you are born with is the backbone. You develop the funny bone and the wishbone that go with it.
I guess what I am trying to say is that I hope more leaders come home than went out and that all the venture scouts come home empowered to lead and to learn from the experiences over the next couple of weeks.
Good luck to all.
Liz
